Inventor Sheet Metal Cross Break

In the past when i ve needed cross breaks on a sheet metal part i ve always just sketched them onto the drawing and called them out as such.

Autodesk inventor sheet metal flat patterns support the creation and use of cosmetic centerlines and the resulting bend extent lines. Trying to add one bend across the path of another will obviously be difficult for your software to handle so typically they will just draw the bend lines without deforming the metal. Designing and engineering a cross break most design softwares with respectable sheet metal packages will have a specific cross break function. I did some googling and the best solution i ve found for inventor is to do exactly this except you sketch it onto the flat pattern instead of the drawing but these were all from several versions ago.

I know this is less than ideal because it means that geometry is not accurately represented in the model. Auto suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type. Cosmetic centerlines allow the ability to utilize lines sketched on the flat pattern as bend lines within a drawing.
