Intentional manual damage that appears to mimic hail damage is comprised of man made indentations and or surface marks.
By intentional we mean advertent that is the damage was applied with attention and not accidently.
The indentations or surface marks are mechanically made with a tool or other hard object.
For example intentional roof hail damage is not randomly distributed on the roof but usually occurs in groups or lines concentrated in upper portions of the roof away from roof edges.
Although you won t always be able to identify the source you can often tell enough from the damage s appearance and location to rule out hail or wind.
