How to install metal roofing on a gable roof.
You can see my pencil marks where i ve had it up on the roof and i ve made the measures to fit in between the panel and the gable trim.
Apply a row of 8 inch wide metal flashing over the break in the gambrel 4 inches above and 4 inches below.
Next take off the rake or gable trim take the cleat out and install it.
Install the cut row of panels overlapping the flashing.
To cut it i just snip through and it bends.
Run corrugations down the roof.
Space the screws about 12 in 30 cm apart down the entire piece of metal.
Install corrugated panels with galvanized steel or aluminum screws depending on the metal roofing with plastic washer heads.
Fasten gable trim with x inch metal to metal lap screws.
Take care the first piece is aligned precisely perpendicular square to the edge.
Install edging use 1 1 4 inch nails to cover the outline of the roof with strips of metal eave flashing also called edging.
Install an end strip of rubber butyl at the top edge of this row fitting it snugly into the profile of the metal.
I m going to mark the z trim cut it and install it so that we can install the end wall trim using stitch screws.
If there are gutters installed on the eaves the eave flashing should be installed to overhang the lip of the gutter by about 1 2 inch.
The cutting of the z trim is straight forward.
Let it stick out again just a little bit past and make a mark.
Butyl sealant tape should be placed parallel to the gable on the high seam of the roofing panel.

Make a mark at the crease line and do the same thing towards the peak of the roof.
