Here are two ways that i am using dried flowers in my home decor.
How to hang dried flowers on wall.
Wrap the chosen wire or string around the bottom of the stems securely so none of the harvested flowers herbs or grouping of leaves become loose during the hang drying process.
Continue to tuck smaller stalks and twigs between base.
First make a regular tie and then a bow.
If you plan to hang them in color order organize them into like piles too.
Steps lay sturdy branches on a work surface in the general shape you want your bough to take.
A drying shed at a flower farm is one of the pleasanter places you might find yourself at the end of summer.
Break your strawflowers off of their stems so they re ready to go.
To begin secure your branch or wood to a wall.
Then cut a 25 piece of jute if you are doing the exact same size board as in this photo.
To dry flowers using the hang dry method harvest flowers at their peak bloom or buy when super fresh tie them in bunches according to type and hang them upside down to dry.
Tie velvet ribbon to center of structure and hang on the wall.
Start on one side and take your dried flower bouquet and lay the stems between the jute with the top of the stems flush with the top of your board and tie the jute around the stems like a shoelace.
A simple piece of string tied to both ends of the branch and hung over a nail works just fine.
Secure the open end of the wire or string to a tea cup hook screw or nail head or rafter in your chosen hang drying location.
Secure with more wire.
Hang flowers upside down.
I am so excited about this part.
I liked the simplicity of using masking tape to hang the photos and twine to hang the flowers from nails in the wall.
The first idea is to mix dried flowers and vintage photos and polaroids to create a delicate arrangement on the wall.
Now measure out 20 of jute for each flower arrangement.
