How to get a bathroom door handle off.

Take out the screws then carefully pry off the plate with a flat head screwdriver. With the plate removed you can now pull the latch mechanism through the side of the door. Pull the doorknob over the retaining pin and off the door. Many door knobs have trim plates that cover the screws so removing them can be a bit tricky if you ve never done it before.

Pull the outer doorknob while pressing the retaining pin with the paper clip. If your knob has a pinhole or small slot opening use a flathead screwdriver to push it inward. Apply a bit of pressure to the paper clip to trigger a release button inside the hardware. If any screws are exposed during this process remove them to release the lock and remove it from the door.
